Polyester is warmer than 100% cotton and it doesn't shrink. Polar Fleece is generally 13 to 16 ounce pile fabric that is lightweight, resists pilling and has superior insulating qualities. It is pricey, but its warmth-to-weight ratio and ability to wick away moisture and dry quickly has made it the darling of athletes and active people everywhere. Today's Polar Fleece is a high-tech, high performance product that is easy to sew. It is extremely warm and soft to the touch, and it wicks away moisture from the body, so it feels dry, even when soaking wet.
